Applications for a scholarship trip to the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival, which is held the first full week of May in Homer, Alaska are accepted in the fall of the calendar year prior to the festival.

College students, undergraduate, recent graduates, or graduate level students are eligible for the trip. 

Recipients are asked to share a presentation and perhaps volunteer at a viewing station at this well established birding festival but are otherwise free to enjoy festival activities. All airfare, ground transportation to Homer and lodging costs are covered by the Foundation.
